Well, you already know that I love this story but I'll just say it here, too-I love this story! I love the process, the playfulness, and what you've produced (both the flowers AND the writing). Plus, as promised, there are chickens. Great job, friend!
I love and admire your bravery in trying something new. Last week, Elmo was featured in our sermon and I’ve been pondering the gifts of being a three year old. Your journey sounds childlike in the ways Jesus called us to be - I hear the wonder and joy in your words.
Thanks for peeking in, Shannon. This collage adventure has been pure delight.
I am reading Tom Vanderbilt's book -- beginners: the joy and transformative power of life long learners. In the first chapter (which is only how far I am) he talks about children in their pursuit of learning, "For children it's practically their job to be beginners..." and from that position - the imaginative possibilities......
The imaginative possibilities! "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Therein lies the call.
Thank you, Shannon, for engaging me on this point!!
